This policy brief contains "Urban Culture Policy in an Era of Globalization" written in Korean.

Cities over the world have promoted urban development policy for urban regeneration as the competition between cities has been increased due to the change in economic system of the world. In the process, history and culture of a city are considered as essential factors for urban regeneration.

Especially the cities in Korea need to adopt the following strategies to effectively promote urban culture policy :
- Expansion of infrastructure for cultural production
- Establishment of cultural facilities as a prerequisite of urban center revitalization
- Place marketing through using cultural heritages such as cultural events and festivals
